Karan Johar reveals Ranveer Singh is the First one to Listen to Takht Script

Earlier in Bollywood, we have witnessed many multistarrers. In recent times we hardly see multi-starrer films, its been quite a while. But Takht movie breaks the norms. This movie has an ensemble cast of Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar, Anil Kapoor and Janhvi Kapoor. Karan Johar producing this film history based project prestigiously. Karan Johar reveals who was the First Person to listen to Takht script. It was none other than Gully Boy Ranveer Singh.

Ranveer Singh worked for Karan production in the movie Simmba. Karan Johar shares an excellent rapport with Kareen Kapoor and Alia Bhatt treats him as her mentor. Still what was the reason behind narrating Takht script to Ranveer first than others. Hero Ranveer and Karan Johar came up with an explanation.

Karan offered the role to Ranveer which indeed was an apt one for him, he felt the same during the writing stage itself. So, Karan mentioned that he would have been quite upset, had Ranveer refused the role for any reason. On the other hand, Ranveer revealed that he came across the script when Karan Johar called him suddenly one day. It was the passion with which that Karan recited the script that made Ranveer come on board for the film. Karan went on to add that even his family was unaware that he had completed writing the film.

Karan also says that this film is a historical drama which is based on the Mughal Kingdom. The noise making around is that the plot is based on siblings Shikoh, Aurangzeb and Jahanara Begum. We still await for more exciting details.
